Off to Bundi

We left Bijairpur today and drove to Bundi.  En route we stopped off at a magnificent old Jain temple complex, the Mahanal  Temples, some parts dating from the C8th, most of which is in disrepair but slowly being renovated. One main temple is in reasonably good condition - until you look inside and see two huge acroprops holding up the ceiling due to major cracks therein! It is an astounding complex and worth visiting if you're in the area.  After the monsoon there is apparently a huge waterfall at the edge of the complex - but no water is flowing in the river at the moment.
After settling into our room at the new hotel we went for a wander in the local streets and found a market selling everything from bracelets, pots, material and then fruit and veg.  We thought we'd try and eat out tonight as the restaurant at the hotel is up two flights of "Indian" stairs (uneven and huge steps up) but there were none to be seen on our wander.  We ate in the courtyard instead as our requested meal was kindly brought down to us, saving the knees!
