Flower Friday Nectarine.

It is hard to believe my potted nectarine tree was nearly killed last winter. I kept it in the shed at the back, before I had my greenhouse. Severe frost and rodents eating it meant that it barely survived. One leaf, one flower... But in summer it grew new branches and now these are laden with flowers! I just put it outside to be pollinated and bees already found it.

It was originally bought in Aldi as an apricot. I was pleasantly surprised to harvest 4 of the tastiest, juiciest nectarines I have ever had. Fingers crossed I will have more this year!
