On The Eighth Day of Dialysis My Doctor Gave To Me

On the eighth day of dialysis my doctor gave to me,
Eight slices of toast,
Seven angelic nurses,
Six effervescent tablets,
Five day course of drugs,
Four digestive biscuits,
Three Kidneys cleaning,
Two feckin big needles,
And a super vein pumping blood.

A busy, busy day.  So many things to get done for work before I go.


It feels strange, a part of my life is coming to an end.  I thought I would feel different after having Big D every day this week, but I don't.  I just feel exhausted.
