Sukh Mahal

This Palace is situated on Jait Sagar Lake, Bundi, and was built in the late 1700's.  Rudyard Kipling spent a couple of days here writing about the people of Bundi and the area and maybe even parts of Kim were written here.  There are many Lemur in the grounds (extra), seeking food.
We went to see a potter in a village 10km from Bundi - fabulous experience and then went to the 84 pillared Cenotaph built in 1683.  We also went to see a magnificent stepwell but those pics are on my phone which refuses to 'talk' to my computer at the moment!  Later in the after noon whilst we were relaxing back at the hotel we heard a cacophony going on outside and when we wandered out to explore found ourselves in a Labour Day parade; there were camels, horses and several noisy floats - also a band with two bagpipers! Huge fun and huge noise! Back home for a G&T now!
