We had an enjoyable journey to Kota, the third largest town in Rajasthan after Jaipur and Jodhpur today. An awful lot of industry bringing a lot of folk to the town for work. Huge high rise apartments being built, whether to accommodate them or to provide space for those with no homes we could not work out. We visited a wonderful museum in the Palace, but some of the Palace is now out of bounds to visitors as part of it has been turned into a secondary school. Afterwards we went to a rather splendid hotel set in its own grounds - was built by a British architect in the late 1800's for the then Maharajah, but now is used as an hotel  and for conferences/weddings etc. (See extras) We had a wonderful snack lunch before heading back to Bundi.
As we wandered back to our hotel we came across this gent making fine scarves on his weaving machine. Such cramped conditions, but he produces some fabulous cotton scarves. He explained how long they took him to make, anything from two to seven days depending on the patterns.
