A walk on the other side

Cathleen, Rula  and I walked along the far shore of Loch Riddon this afternoon - the one opposite to where we live.

Strangely we had never done it before even though we have lived here for over 25 years , though the fact that it is now part of the Cowal Way probably persuaded us to try it at last.

There was a stiff wind blowing that has adversely affected many ferries on the west coast today.  There were white horses on the loch, though this yacht (the Anakaren) seemed to be coping fine at its winter anchorage near the Burnt Islands.

My extra picture shows the view across the water further up the loch.
