Spring-like

Worked 'from home' at my Mum's today.  Got us both a cuppa and some breakfast this morning, then started work - while poor Mum had to wait until after 10:30am for the carers to come and get her up.  Good and bad news today re her care - she is now having to pay for it as, after being assessed, she doesn't qualify for free care, but the silver lining is that they're now going to start coming about two hours earlier each day.  It has been slightly ridiculous how long she's had to stay in bed - typically from about 6:45pm through to 10:30am.  Too long!

After a grey - and then rainy - start, the sun broke out this afternoon.  I took a short break from work to go into the garden with Mum and refill all her bird feeders (of which she has many!)  Took the opportunity to take a few photos, too, of some lovely signs of spring - namely daffs and snowdrops.  Bring it on!

We had a delicious dinner (a la Tesco's Finest), accompanied by her Simon and Garfunkel record, which made for a nice - though short - evening before her carer turned up to help her to bed.  We've cancelled them for the morning so I can help her get up earlier (which now seems slightly unnecessary given the new schedule. Ah well!)
