RAH

We went on a "Behind the Scenes" tour of the Royal Albert Hall in London.  We have always loved this building and enjoyed many fabulous concerts here, but this was a great opportunity to see dressing rooms, the royal box, under the stage, the loading bay etc - areas not normally open to the public. The building is a lot bigger than it appears, especially with the recently completed basement extension.

It was particularly interesting at the moment because the hall is currently in use by the Cirque du Soleil.  It was amazing to see the sheer volume of equipment that they have transported to, and installed in, the hall - it is a massive operation.

My  blip is a view of the empty auditorium, taken from the gallery, with the staging all set for the Cirque du Soleil performances.

Worth looking large on a black background:  hit the double arrow symbol just under the bottom right of the picture.
