Das Boot

I do love this little submarine. A lot of people on both sides of my family worked on the shipyards. When they finished a submarine they were all given a model of it, cast from some of the spare metal. I suspect this is pre WW2 as I doubt there was any spare once the war started.

I’m watching Das Boot, submariners eh? What an incredibly brave bunch they are, I can’t think of many worse things than being stuck in a submarine under the sea with folks chucking depth charges at me.

Unlike my engineering ancestors I don’t build amazing machines. I do a bit of arm waving and selling though. Today we started moving....I really hope we finish tomorrow!
