Mount Cook

Spent a superb day at Mt Cook with a friend today, My Three Sons who is an occasional blipper. We went up to see the amazing amount of icebergs that have calved off the Tasman Glacier and have all congregated at the bottom of the Tasman Lake. Awesome sight one of which I have put in as an extra. The other is Lake Tekapo on the way home showing its amazing natural colour as was Lake Pukaki when we passed it
Left her just after 6.30am and home 5.30pm. A big day as was up at 5am making our lunch which we shared with some folk from America. We had plenty and they had purchased sandwiches and when he went to get his out he had left them in the shop. They loved my egg sandwiches and we had such a happy meal with them. After hugs all round we sent them on their way with a much clearer idea of where they needed to go so hopefully by now they are asleep in Oamaru after seeing the little bl;ue penguins
Mt Cook never came completely out of the cloud until we were headed home so stopped multiple times to take yet more photos. It is very imposing sight
