Hellebores and snowdrops

I couldn't get quite the view I had hoped for to show off the Corsican hellebore against a background of snowdrops, but this gives an idea of it. I might have another go tomorrow. The green and white combination does look lovely in the garden, while we wait for the daffodils to make their appearance. The bright (though still cold) weather is encouraging the hellebores to open up, and there are lots more coming in the next week or two. I can't recall such a sunny February as this has been so far. Let's hope March is good too, although with sufficient rain to avert premature drying out of the soil, which on this stony clay can be quite a nuisance.
