The wining cat

This afternoon I took ian to Thamesmead in South London. It is a vast housing development - mainly social housing - built from the mid sixties onwards on former marshland on the south bank of the river Thames

.Most of the land area of Thamesmead previously formed about 1000 acres of the Old Royal Arsenal site that extended over Plumstead and Erith marshes.

The purpose of our visit was for Ians dental treatment involving tooth extraction under anaesthetic. I was looking forward to blipping one of the modernist town houses or the 12 storey concrete blocks, that have featured in many films, including Kubricks Clockwork Orange.

There were some architecturally interesting recently built developments but unfortunately I did not have the opportunity to take a single photo.

After we had parked by the medical centre I had to be by ians side the whole of the time, and was not allowed to leave the premises while he underwent the treatment. I collected him in his woozy state and had to return home straight away.

Therefore, no blips of Thamesmead I am afraid.

Soft Cell came to the rescue as he admired the empty red wine bottle. Note the paw print on the label and the neck foil. This wine is from the north of Lisbon in Portugal and is a Montaria 2017 produced by wine grower Luis Viera. .it is a full bodied red from Trincadeira and Tinta Roriz and Alicante Bouschet grape varieties. We drank this wine yesterday evening and it was delicious.
