Swanning Around

Lovely and mild and sunny at Amwell Nature Reserve this afternoon. I got some great images of various birds in flight but like this of a cob catching the light as he approaches the reed bed. I sat and watched a pair of shovelers swimming round and round in a circle for ages. This is their courtship dance. (Extras.)

PS See the comment from Chamaeleo below. Swimming in circles is for feeding not specifically for courtship.
