Architect and artist Dy Proueng (82), Cambodia

I had the honour to met Dy Proueng today. He is one of the few surviving old masters from Khmer Rouge regime, when between 1975 -1979 up to 90 % of Cambodian artists lost their lives.

His long life story is one of bravery and resilience. A man to admire and have a deep conversation with. 

Here in Siem Reap he has restored the Angkor temples and also creating them in miniature in his private garden (extra).
