Friedrichstrasse

As I was coming home tonight I noticed every signpost, bollard and flagpole in Friedrichstrasse had been given a sock of some kind to wear. I think in big you can just see the bollards on the other side of the road looking very colourful. I can only applaud the organisation that went into doing this. It was at least a hundred things all wearing multi-coloured, hand-knitted street furniture socks. Well worth a Blip.

Today also saw a wedding. Our friends M + A got married at the Standesamt today and they'll have a big churchy wedding next year. They were among 30 couples who got married on the 12.12.12 in Wiesbaden today. That's 30 at the Standesamt (the German equivalent of the Registry Office), the churches were all fully booked too.
