Just another garden bird shot I am afraid.  In spite of the nice weather I had no incentive to go looking for anything else.

Chaffinches are probably one of the commonest birds in the UK.  They have recently had some problems with the protazoan infection Trichomonosis (although it doesn't seem to have been as bad as in Greenfinches).  They have also had problems with Chaffinch papilloma virus which causes growths on the legs.

Fortunately I haven't seen any signs of either of the problems locally.
