We were all smiles eventually!!!
Had a nice long lie in. Didn’t have breakfast as planned.
*Left the very NOT picturesque town of Volklingen at 10:30!!!
*in this photo....France is on left, Germany on the right and ahead in the distance is Luxembourg!!!
Fairly clear roads all the way.
Stopped off at Namur, Belgium. We thought we hadn’t been before then discovered we had but only to the grotty bit of town.
*Found the stunning view from the citadel where we enjoyed a lovely meal and took in the sights.
Got to the port earlier enough to catch an earlier ferry but due to the chaos we even missed our one!!! This happened last year too.
*We were all smiles in the end when we were handed a free glass of champagne in the club lounge :))). Where we also enjoyed a late afternoon tea.
Last frustration was the closed motorway with terrible diversion signs so we had to go via county roads to Canterbury home!!
All smiles when we made it home by 11:30....3 hours later than expected!!
