Much of the river bank between Haddington and East Lothian is covered in snowdrops with some celandines starting to flower now.  We saw three Peacock and one Small Tortoiseshell butterflies but they were not easy to take photos.  This is cropped from the best of one on some snowdrops before I accidentally disturbed it.   Almost opposite there was one of two enormous beech trees which had fallen across the river and it looked as though they would be very difficult to remove.
