Wanderings & Witterings

Track

Decided to go for a walk this afternoon and explore the disused railway track that runs behind Banknock.

What is quite a wide, clear and straight path at Banknock peters out into a muddy track as one walks westward towards Kelvinhead and Banton. Then it disappears altogether, to be replaced by a sort of linear pond (pictured). Another path leads upwards and around this, but it too ends when it reaches a stony road up to a quarry. Abandoned the idea of following the railway path at this point and followed the road back down to its junction with the main Kilsyth road, where I caught a bus back home.

Still, I quite enjoyed the exploration even if I didn't reach my intended destination.
