Inside Out

Oh, it was good out today, so warm.   Awareness of climate change and some of it's less palatable implications took the edge off the pleasure perhaps.  In the cold frames many new flowers to delight in but it was these snowdrops, hanging on on the shady side of the garden, that most caught my eye as the sunlight finally reached them after the early frost had lifted.  Galanthus 'Viridapice' with green markings on the outer petals as well as the inner ones.

A day fragmented by two visits to Jamie's local Grandma as Grandad is now in hospital as the need for more intensive end of life care approaches.  Jamie is at peace with the thought that he came to visit a little while ago, before this latest development.   When he does next come up his Grandma will be very pleased to see him.

A talk tonight, to a coastal garden club, was the right kind of distraction.
