The Long Goodbye

An extended flowering season for the crocuses as it turns colder again.  Sunshine on the cold frames lifted the temperature just enough to open the flowers for a while today.  Crocus sieberi still looking good.  In normal winter conditions here the glass is in place over the flowers only but with a few days of below zero temperatures coming up I have put the side glazing in place too.  I slide some panels open during the day but close it all up at night.

Managed some time outside between shopping (for lunch and with Jamie) and kitchen duties today.  The clearance of what will become our shady corner continues.  The garden is already the tidiest it's been for years - can I keep it that way?

Waiting now to see if the snow arrives here or not.
