Classic view.

This must be one of the most photographed views in England. It appears in many books on the history of the English country house, in photographic books and in National Trust literature.

I was determined to ensure that Blipfoto was not left out.

It is of course the famous view across the lake at Stourhead in Wiltshire. One of the National Trust’s most visited possessions. The house and gardens were opened in the 1740s.
The walk around the lake this morning, on another day of glorious weather, was a great joy.
