Wound up in Wexford

Young mountain zebra

We've had a great day in the Mountain Zebra Park.  In view of its name, the young zebra had to be the main blip.

There were many things to see, and I have lots of photos, but for us, the two highlights were to see a very newly born springbok, and a feeding goshawk.

We stopped when we spotted the baby springbok, and after we had watched for a few minutes (during which I commented that it still looked quite wobbly) we realised that mum was still delivering the afterbirth.  See extras for baby and mum.

Then almost at the exit on the way out, W spotted a large bird on the ground, and we realised it was a pale chanting goshawk, feeding on recently caught prey (also in extras).

In all, a great day - we've actually booked 2 nights accommodation in the park at the end of this week, so we can go on the early morning and late evening organised drives.
