"It's A Hot Day"

...And Father has hung his hat up for the day - on his favorite shovel...well, it's a bit different again isn't it...but it comes to most of us, we have to admit defeat on a rather hot day.when one is retired...and have a little rest..

The vegetable plants are coming on nicely with the heat, but the lettuce plants are going to seed as they're not used to experiencing sudden hot weather. The dwarf beans are starting to produce some little beans, and the tomato plants - well, we picked some this morning. The silver beet has faded for the day, like Father, but will pick up once again when it becomes cooler. The rhubarb is getting stronger, and the leek plants are strong anyway.. they're a good plant to grow I might add.

Well that's about it for my day...it's a hot day!
