Poles Apart

Business out beyond the ring road, so a morning cycle ride uphill in the sun; route back past the hairdresser (who has every reason to believe I no longer have hair) so calling in to make an appointment and finding she could tidy my head there and then; an exhilarating zoom back down the hill for a spur-of-the-moment lunch with daughter; messing about with shadows outside the cinema; another cycle ride to my first session with the Oxford Village Band who were extraordinarily welcoming and kind about my much-scope-for-improvement fiddle playing.
