The Edge of the Wold

St David's Day

I promised a blip of Gus every month, and hence here I'm taking the pressure off for the rest of March. There are no daffodils on this part of Arnside Knott, so on St David's Day we shall have to make do with this year's splendid display of hazel catkins framing the path up the Knott where the sentinel oak and beech trees stand on each side. The village is cloaked in fog, the air is still, and the great spotted woodpeckers' drumming carries a long way. The weather is set to change to something more normal for this time of year.

It was a busy few days at work this week, and today we have to travel to BW after my needlework session.  So I may not be active here for a few days.
