Partick mural

A section of the £23,000 tiled mural, which dominates the back wall of Hillhead Subway Station, immortalises Sandra White MSP in this photo. it was completed by renowned artist Alasdair Gray in 2010. At the top of the picture is the famous Glasgow Art Galleries and in the right corner the Kelvin Hall, now a centre of cultural excellence providing access to historic collections, displays, teaching and research facilities, alongside a state-of-the-art Glasgow Club health and fitness centre.The Western Infirmary closed in 2015 and was returned  to Glasgow University which is  planning a new campus extension including  a £40m Research Hub, a College of Arts, an Institute of Health and Wellbeing, the Adam Smith Business School and a School of Engineering. Phew!
