Belted Kingfisher

Only had my phone with me and this was the closest the Belted Kingfisher would let me get to it.

These kingfishers are not the beautiful colours that first come to mind when thinking of kingfishers. These fellas are grey with white underparts and the females also having a rusty band across their belly.

Today started out very foggy with misty rain and grey skies. It wasn’t until late afternoon that we saw the sun.

Kent treated me to fish ‘n chips at Elijah’s on the Riverwalk today which was very pleasant.
