Gladiators

A rather rainy start to the day so we got our groceries including a tray of Baklava!
We did some research yesterday and decided to try looking at the pools near Akrotiri. This turned out to be a good decision as the first thing we saw was a Spur-winged Plover from Africa! Also some fine Slender Billed gulls. (See extra)
We moved on to Kourion Archeological Site for another look around. The sun came out and we had a lovely wander enjoying the ancient atmosphere and wild flowers. I hadn’t seen the Gladiators before and they are so carefully depicted and well preserved. The whole site is remarkable.
Then a little drop in at Tom’s before heading back for a great roast chicken dinner.
