Wendens Ambo

Brendan has some distant relatives in Australia who are researching family history. Some Brendan's mother's relations left a small village near Stansted and sailed to the south coast of Australia in the mid 1800s.They asked us to visit Wendens Ambo church yard and take photos of any family gravestones we spotted. I had to go to the Allergy clinic at Addenbrookes in Cambridge for follow up of progress of my bee sting allergy. We drove back via the village. The church was covered in scaffolding and the gravestones were too worn to read but we had a look around before heading to the picturesque pub for lunch. And very nice it was too. This photo shows a row of cottages next to the church. The extras are of the inside of the church and the Bell Inn
