Warm water on a frigid day

We've have several American Robins in the garden these last few days. They have probably been wintering on Cape Cod where there is almost always less snow. They have flown up to the South Shore a bit too soon after our fresh foot of snow and looked puffed up an unhappy. They love earthworms but those delicacies are far underground at the moment. Heated, clean water is available and they have had many sips today in the frigid temps.

Little Nora Jo has suffered from frequent ear infections and her ENT prescribed a ear tubes to help her ear health and hearing. The procedure was early this morning at Massachusetts Eye and Ear and went very well. The actual insertion is a 2 minute procedure, but she needed to be anesthetized for 15 minutes. My niece Sarah said that she herself cried when that took place, but Nora was calm, the procedure a success and she woke up quickly. They were home by 11 and Nora had a restful 2 hour nap. Some photos her daddy at the clinic took are in the extras. Those shots alone made me weep, but I seem to cry at everything the older I get.

For the Record,
This day came in ice cold and sunny.

All hands happy for Nora Jo.
