A view from the Linesway

The Linesway is the old branch line from Garforth to Castleford, via Kippax and Allerton Bywater, although it only  goes to Allerton Bywater now as you can't cross the River Aire on the old rickety bridge. Its a great walk for dogs and cyclists and general walkers.

Kippax had a station in the days when trains ran and once the Queens Train was diverted and spent the night on the sidings with her on it (no idea why it did though) The Station often won a prize for the best kept station. There are some lovely view from the track.

Nice morning but rain from mid afternoon. After two dog walks this morning I had a very lazy afternoon doing nothing but reading or spending time looking at things on my PC, and making tea, well we all need a break sometimes don't we.
