Following on from yesterday.

I should clarify that by rescueing the gates from the skip we did negotiate payment for them plus delivery. Each door requires two people to lift each one.

The shape of the gates did require that we create an opening to match. This is the only new opening we made to the fabric of the original building.

We believe these gates came from an RC church, although they were removed from a Victorian Villa.

Unfortunately weather conditions just now mean we cannot Open the main entrance doors to include the whole height of them.

This view does highlight the decorated elements against a light background. The oak leaf branches echo the trees outside.

The extra is a fun price of art by a local artist who is inspired by Celtic Art Forms and who paints on recycled timber harvested from the beach.
