From the Sixties

After the blue skies of yesterday, I opened the door to a sleet storm. Not a day for wandering the garden looking for Daffodils to Blipfoto.

Today’s Blipfoto is the first painting I bought at the annual Art College exhibition. I paid £2; it was 1968, about the price of 8 gallons of petrol or 36 litres.

It is very much a charming period portrait and I like it a lot.

It proved quite difficult to photograph whilst cutting "shine" to the minimum. This is the best and third attempt.

It is as the artist sold it. No signature. No label. Blue paint spots and an uneven varnish.

I cannot remember her name but perhaps this may find her.
