Great Spotted Woodpecker #27

Not my best shot today but I liked the fact that both the blackbird and woodpecker were sharing nicely. 

After a morning of chores, I headed out late afternoon as it looked to have stopped raining and the strong winds had subsided a little. 
The woodland hide at Risley Moss was my choice as it is not so far from the car park and good for sheltering. The light was poor, but there were 3 woodpeckers that were showing quite well and the other usual woodland birds. It was nice to have seen a male siskin which is a first for me at Risley. They are not so common around here.
