Bee Line

I shot bees visiting the pussy/goat willow today with my long lens and birds-in-flight settings. It focuses much more quickly than my macro lens. Don't know why I haven't tried it before. Love the way the bee's tongue is out ready to lick the pollen. 

In other news Ollie dog and I walked the water meadows and she ended up in the ford as usual. I throw twigs in the water and she loves to retrieve them. Over the past months I've been throwing increasingly further upstream and into deeper water. I felt quite emotional today as I stood on the bridge and watched her swimming perfect doggy-paddle for the first time. :)
