Tiny Tuesday . . . Monarch Butterfly

At breakfast time the chrysalis was transparent and I could see the dark butterfly wings inside.  When I returned home three hours later this gorgeous butterfly was hanging there.   I haven't learnt to photo shop so I am always pleased  when I can achieve a plain background in an image.  This time it was because I taped baking paper to the window.  The butterfly is on a branch of swan plant in a small vase.    That could then be put on the ironing board in front of the window.  It is a damp day and rather cool and windy so I will set it outside tomorrow.  It is a male.
