The Flooded Field (at night)

A time exposure of several minutes, the tripod about a foot above this mini lake, in a flooded field.

Muddy boots, muddy tripod but the 14mm super-wide (that's equivalent to 9mm in DX terms) on the full-frame D700, took in a lot of sky, the scudding clouds creating texture. I was 'disturbed' by some rowdy drunk youths who were throwing lit fireworks - when they came upon me they apologised and thought the scene 'awesome'...

Colour (from the RAW) hasn't been exaggerated, it's from the built-up lights of Salisbury, though some contrast has been injected into the sky, after and shadow extraction of the foreground . The long line of houses (Devizes Road) featured in my Blip of 4.11, albeit a lot closer up!
