All Change

A quick decision on changing the cars today ... My Civic is going to our son, Gill's Jazz is going to our daughter and we are buying a CR-V.  Less painfull than I expected as the dealership had pretty much what we wanted so we decided to avoid any further faffing and just go for it.

Interesting weather for a test drive - the wipers are very effective!

Various whatsapp family group messages ensued about how we arrange to get the current cars to the 'children' hence the diary blip.

I had previously been told the colour of the car mattered most to the female in a couple.  Gill was just keen to avoid another silver grey car,  I am very happy the new one is black - cue far too many restaurant at the end of the universe jokes ...

"That," he said, "that... is really bad for the eyes."
It was a ship of classic, simple design, like a flattened salmon, twenty yards long, very clean, very sleek. There was just one remarkable thing about it.
"It's so... black!" said Ford Prefect. "You can hardly make out its shape... light just seems to fall into it!"
The blackness of it was so extreme that it was almost impossible to tell how close you were standing to it.

"Your eyes just slide off it..." said Ford in wonder.

Sorry to have to cancel the Upton Blip meet - it is already quite windy here and has been raining for much of the day - I can't see the estate being open tomorrrow.
