A Monkey's Tale

Wreath the Trouble!

A wonderful sight to behold - Exmoor House, Dunster.

This is the stunning front door of the Guest House we will be staying over the weekend. It's a lovely building inside & out; a very cosy & homely place to stay. It sits along a street of similarly picturesque, vintage restaurants, pubs, & guest houses, & sits amidst a church (venue for tomorrow's celebration) & at least one castle we know of, Dunster Castle. If we get the chance, I'd like to explore the village a little more.

We've ventured down to Dunster, Somerset, for our friends Louise & Steve's wedding tomorrow. We were quite relieved to finally arrive. Although it wasn't an overly long (ish) journey, some 5 hours, we did get caught in some horrendous traffic on M25 & M4 (surprise-surprise) & the rain was lashing it down all the way, so it wasn't the most comfortable journey.

On our arrival, we were greeted by the kindly owner of the house & shown to our cosy, warm room. We then did what any sensible person would do after a tiring journey to a quaint village... dumped our bags & went to one of the local pubs! In fact, some of Jenny's friends, Amy & Ben were already well into the mulled wine (well, Amy anyway) by the time we met up with them. So we sat by the fire, supped our satisfying drinks & chatted away.

We have a fantastic celebration in store this weekend & we're very much looking forward to it. I'm nervous just thinking about it & the wedding's got absolutely nothing to do with me! It will be brilliant though, & fingers crossed for some pleasant weather to set the scene.
