A Monkey's Tale

Blue Antlers Perhaps?

Don't you think? Jenny thought so.

These sparkling Christmas lights have been cast over the trees on our local roundabout (everyone has one) & they look quite magical. We seen them every day as we wonder back to the flat along Haywards Heath high street & it occurred to me they would make for a nice local outdoors blip.

This evening, the Young Apprentice reached its penultimate episode & a good one at that too, with the little blighters tasked with selling tat at a festival. It was a gd'n! We also finished out Christmas cards, so prepare for an amazing piece of art work bursting through a letterbox near you.

At the Office today we were provided with some amusement in the form of a bizarre announcement at the end of the day. We were all gathered together, some 30 of us on the 3rd floor & informed that today, the boilers had packed up in the building & we therefore had no heating. As the manufacture & the parts are unavailable, sold out, on holiday, or some other laughable excuse, there would be no heating for some weeks in fact. Thus caused some titters & the onset of jokes about soup kitchens & blankets being handed out. So tomorrow is not 'dress down day' like every other Friday, but 'dress up day' instead. What fun!

With a giggle here & a laugh there, this news only served to prime me for the inevitable hysterics that followed a few minutes later, with some woman in the kitchen talking slightly too loud, so much so that she could still be heard some way down the office even after she'd long left the kitchen. With a few ill-timed, but nonetheless encouraging titters & comments from Mike, I was gone, away, laughing on the verge of tears. Thankfully the working day was over so I didn't have much to lose.

All's well that ends well.

And I shall have blue antlers tomorrow at the Office I suppose..
