9.0C with heavy rain then showers later. Storm clearing slowly. Last night the gusts got up to 75 mph, and were over 60 mph for hours. The wind last night was Westerly and today it swung WNW and slowly decreased to 34 mph or so with gusts still over 45 mph at 3pm.

Fergus and I were out in very heavy rain this morning. It really caught us out and although we were both dressed for it, it was very wet !

Fergus and I went for our walk after lunch. We went round to the harbour, had a wander round the old quay, and out along the shore side of the park. No new wind turbine sections were delivered in the storm last night.

We went as far as the mile marker then turned and came back the same way then along the street side of the park and came home through town passing the town hall and the bookshop (closed for half day). We didn't get wet.
