Dunkirk.

We arrived in Dunkirk at 11am after a very good crossing from Dover on the ferry. Once off the ship we headed straight for the Dunkirk Town Cemetery to find Mr W’s Grandfathers grave. Jack Reginald Bushell had been an Officer in the RAF and was lost along with all his crew on 19th July 1941 just off Dunkirk. A recipient of the DFM this young man was only 33yrs old. What a dreadful loss.

After this visit we headed for Arras and our home for the next three nights. Arras is a very sweet little town and our hotel is right in the centre. It’s an interesting drive to get to it but Mr Tbay is doing a fantastic job !

Once settled in we headed for the bar for a drink.

This would have been super had it not been for the STONKING cold I still have. So no taste or smell for me. Arghhhhh!! Only used a whole box of tissues today!! I am sure the meal we had would have tasted lovely! It can only get better!
