Artemisia

The new shoots of artemisia are a lovely grey-green, and keep their look of freshness well into the season. This plant seems very happy where it is - every year it spreads out further, although I sometimes wonder whether other plants around it are retreating as it does. Perhaps it's one of those pants that don't tolerate companions too close by. The flowers are fairly insignificant, but when you have such beautiful leaves, you don't need to make too much of an effort in that respect.
