Lozarhythm Of The Day:
The Beach Boys - I Get Around (recorded 4 and 10 April 1964, United Western, Hollywood CA)
The Beach Boys: Al Jardine (bass guitar, vocal), Mike Love (lead, harmony and backing vocals), Brian Wilson (chorus falsetto lead, harmony and backing vocals, piano, harpsichord, Hammond B3 organ),  Carl Wilson (electric lead and rhythm guitar, harmony and backing vocals), Dennis Wilson (drums, harmony and backing vocals)
with Hal Blaine (timbales with brush, rim with thin stick), Glen Campbell (6-string electric bass guitar), Ray Pohlman (6-string electric bass guitar), Steve Douglas (tenor sax), Jay Migliori (baritone sax)
R.I.P. Hal Blaine (born Harold Simon Belsky)(5 February 1929, Holyoke MA – 11 March 2019, Palm Desert CA)
If I had to name a favourite drummer, or the one who has played on more of the records in my collection than any other, it would be Hal Blaine, a Los Angeles session drummer who was a member of the Wrecking Crew (as he named them) that played on all those Phil Spector productions, all those Beach Boys records including Pet Sounds and Good Vibrations and many countless others. In fact many of the obvious choices have already been LOTDs, but this one has always been a favourite.
