The Lozarithm Lens

The Old Forge (Tuesday 12th March 2019)

Just a quick garden blip as I had a bit of a tummy bug and spent most of Tuesday down a rabbit hole researching Beatles recordings to update the database of my collection of their music and also playing a Grateful Dead concert from 1976 on the Dave's Picks Vol. 18 CD set.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
The Beatles - The Word (recorded 10 November 1965, Abbey Road)
If you have a copy of Rubber Soul or know it well, this might sound a bit odd unless you are an American, because this is the version found on the North American pressings of Rubber Soul released by Capitol Records. It is different due to the double-tracking of Lennon's lead vocal, the addition of an extra falsetto harmony and the panning treatment given to one of the percussion parts. The US version of the album also had a slightly different track listing.
