The Lozarithm Lens

Smokey 1346 hr (Wednesday 13th March 2019)

I've created a series of Smokey's favourite snoozing spots and have linked in all the qualifying blips back to the beginning of 2018 so far. This means that some of his haunts dominate over others, so I'm thinking I might thin some out as I work back.

This was taken contre-jour , so the green spot on his nose is actually a ray of sunlight.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Spencer Davis Group - Keep On Running (1965)
This band are surprisingly under-represented on these LOTDs as they were important to me growing up, a local band (Spencer Davis himself was on my paper round) with a phenomenal singer. I saw them live a number of times and Steve Winwood singing Every Little Bit Hurts while playing the BirminghamTown Hall pipe organ is a memory that sticks. Keep On Running was their fifth single and a big hit. It was written by the Jamaican singer Jackie Edwards, with whom they shared a record label. It featured in the excellent 2017 C4 TV series The End of The F***ing World, which I watched in full on Netflix this week and completed on this day.
