Souk Al Bahar

Despite the long day yesterday, I was awake at 8am which is 4am UK time, but surprisingly felt ok.  We had a lazy morning though, with breakfast on the balcony and then went for a wander, ending up at the Souk Al Bahar which is near the Dubai Mall and the Burj Khalifa.  We watched the fountain show, and then went into the mall to get something to eat.  Unfortunately it's been quite wet today, so our plans for the rest of the day changed somewhat.

We were due to go on a dinner cruise on the Creek with GadgetKid and G, but this got cancelled due to the weather, and has been moved to Tuesday night.  Fresh arrangements were made to go for an Indian dinner at the Sheraton, which was really nice (I've added an extra of the four of us) and Sherry and Geraldine kindly came to pick us up from our hotel.  After dinner they took us out of town to The Last Exit where all the local people hang out at the weekend -  It's full of air stream caravans which have been turned into food trucks offering street food.  We didn't eat obviously, just had a drink and a wander round looking at the sights. It's been a lovely day despite the weather, but hopefully the forecast is right for tomorrow and it's going to be clear and sunny.

Anyway, it's after midnight and I'm off to bed.  Hope you all have a great weekend.
