Mid-March snow

We awoke to this - winter's last sting, maybe?! But it didn't last long. Already melting by the time I went downstairs with the camera, it had gone completely by lunchtime. Not surprising - MrM reports that, as he was driving down to Newcastle, the temperature was 13deg according to the car thermometer. 

His trip was necessitated by the need to buy more glue to finish off an instrument and, not surprisingly, once in the shop he was seduced in to buying all sorts of other stuff...

I spent the afternoon filling in holes in the living-room walls. Don't seem to have made much headway yet, and it's becoming increasingly obvious just how rough the walls are, to put it politely. MrM assured me that after two layers of lining paper and some paint, they'll look fine. But I'm less than convinced...
