Waterwall

A particularly high tide and a strong swell from the east gave the Kirkcaldy sea wall a terrific battering today causing a certain amount of damage but without an on-shore wind, flooding was limited to the promenade and part of the carparks.

The waves were hitting the wall square on, sending up a wall of water. The rebounding wave then met the next incoming wave and often exploded vertically in another wall of spray.

All that against a backdrop of the setting sun.
